Matt Epstein is a Partner, Vertical Lead for Growth & Go-to-Market at LF Partners. With more than 20 years of experience at iconic consumer brands including Amazon, SiriusXM, and Walmart—and as a strategic advisor across sectors such as grocery, fintech, media, and healthcare—Epstein brings deep expertise across the full growth lifecycle, from lead generation and pricing to conversion, loyalty, and repeat engagement. Known for instilling structure, accountability, and customer-centricity, he specializes in unlocking durable, long-term growth across both the top and bottom line.
At Walmart, Epstein served as Vice President and Corporate Officer for Walmart+, the company’s flagship membership program. In that role, he led the end-to-end member experience as well as the value proposition and retention strategy—expanding benefits through streaming and travel partnerships with Paramount+ and Expedia, launching Walmart Cash (the company’s first digital currency program), and introducing discounted membership offers for students and low-income households. Leveraging data and member feedback, he identified and resolved key friction points in the member journey, driving stronger engagement, satisfaction, and lifetime value. He also oversaw the Member Care organization, leading initiatives to maximize customer support, save rate, and retention.
At SiriusXM, Epstein was Vice President and General Manager of Streaming, where he built the company’s standalone streaming platform from the ground up, grew the subscriber base sixfold, and transformed it into the company’s primary growth driver—all while maintaining profitability.
Earlier in his career, he spent seven years at Amazon, where he held roles across product, marketing, strategy, and business development for Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, and Grocery. Highlights include helping launch Prime Music, leading global marketing for the inaugural Amazon Prime Day, and spearheading a Prime member spend initiative that was personally reviewed and approved by Jeff Bezos and his senior leadership team.
Most recently, Epstein served as Chief Transformation Officer at Travelzoo, where he led the company’s shift from a free, ad-supported model to a paid membership business. He also founded Member Growth, a strategic consultancy where he applies his proprietary Membership Flywheel™ framework to help organizations build scalable, system-driven recurring revenue models that deliver compounding, profitable growth.
Epstein earned his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. A passionate live music fan, he serves as Vice Chair of the Board of the South Orange Performing Arts Center and lives in South Orange, New Jersey, with his wife and two sons.
