Jim Reo

Prior to joining LF Partners, Jim spent 24 years at Capital One Financial Corporation where he built and led the executive recruitment function and held a variety of leadership roles including vice president of talent acquisition. Jim’s expertise in recruiting senior and C-Suite executives, and his role in building the board of directors of Capital One, made a powerful impact on fueling the growth, transformation and success of this Fortune 100 company. Over the last decade, Jim also embarked on a journey of becoming an executive coach to both emerging leaders and experienced executives.

Jim began his career as a CPA. His early experience included roles in audit at Ernst & Young, and executive search at Heidrick & Struggles. A native of New York, he completed his undergraduate degree in accounting at George Washington University, and his training as an executive coach at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies. In addition to leadership recruiting and development, Jim is passionate about Italian culture, the outdoors, and inclusion — particularly as an advocate for people with disabilities.
